What are some things that would make this contraption legit to a cigar smoker? Let’s first talk about possible interior materials.

The staple seat covering featuring both form and function is leather or a leather-like material. Leather is less prone to hold moisture, more resistant to odor, and less likely to stain compared to fabric. In a luxury limousine, this would be non-negotiable to omit. As for the roofing material, it would be better to have something both dark in color and also non-fabric. Smoke has a tendency to escape through open spaces, and if there is some type of sunroof/smoke-killing contraption mounted in the ceiling, that’s where the smoke will pass. Wooden, Spanish cedar paneling would be excellent to replicate a “mobile humidor” experience. Essentially, for long-term use, fabric-based coverings should be avoided. A retrofitted ventilation system would be great, but could render the project useless depending on the budget!

Passionate cigar smokers have a ritual when they smoke. Each person cuts, lights, and enjoys in their own unique way. Having the correct assortment of cutters and lighters is imperative. The cutter is where the experience starts, and patrons should have access to V-cutters, guillotine cutters, cigar scissors and punches. If customer Joe is preparing to enjoy his Connecticut-wrapped torpedo, he typically won’t appreciate being forced to use a V-cutter or a punch. Furthermore, he’ll be even more upset if he has to gnaw the cap off with his teeth! Lighters are equally important. Some folks enjoy using a soft-flame as opposed to a torch flame. Do they want a double or triple torch? How about a box of matches? Thankfully, many cigar accessories manufacturers offer lifetime warranties on their products. Good for business and good for the bottom line!

Ashtrays could range from a large “herf-style” ashtray to a small tray custom built into the vehicle (both should be able to be covered). Inevitably, cigar smokers will compete to have the longest ash, and ashing on the floor and seats is inevitable.

These are all broad topics, but something to consider where applicable by law. The logistics are for you to decide, but hey, that’s the fun part!
