High School kids wait for four years to finally attend their senior year prom. It is an experience they live through only once in their life; however, limousine companies get to relive this phenomenon every year. Sometimes, it makes limousine companies feel like they are still in high school because they are so involved in the process. One of the most important aspect to kids is their prom limos, especially for the guys. Some girls will say picking their dress is their top priority, but after that is all set and done, how kids get the prom becomes the focal point. It almost becomes a competition amongst students to out due one another. The bigger the better hence the arrival of the “exotic limo”. With TV shows such as “My Sweet Sixteen” and “Pimp My Ride”, the demand for crazy and wild rides is at an all time high.
Prom limos have come a long way. The first generation stretch Lincoln Navigators and H1 Hummers were a blast but they were only the beginning to a huge industry. Those days are long gone, and there are new kids in town. Nowadays you will find super high-end limos such as Range Rovers, Porsche’s Audi‘s and more. They come equipped with 22” chrome rims and custom paint that sparkles in different colors. Prom limos have custom grills and tinted windows, iPod and Xbox hookups, with the newest lighting systems that incorporate disco floors and disco ceilings. These come with a price tag and kids are willing to spend it. Prom only comes around once in a lifetime. Although many debate on whether it is healthy for students to indulge in this type of spending, we say it is a much better option then drinking and driving. Most companies not only offer quality limos, but they usually will provide you with a professional chauffeur for the night. An extra set of eyes on a group of prom kids is never a bad thing.
