Stretch Limos

Stretch limos is not even a term that is used that often these days because anything you call a limo now is stretched but it depends on how long it has been stretched. When limos first came out and were used mostly for executive transport, they were stretched only about 70 or 100 inches at most. Now, limos are almost always stretched at least 120 inches and if you are wondering how long that Hummer is that you have seen on the road recently, the answer is that it has been stretched at least 200 inches.

We truly have come a long way in the limousine industry with new methods to make cooler and “stretchier” limos. Most people are confused by the “stretching” process and think that stretch limos come straight from the GM Assembly line as a stretch Hummer or same goes for a BMW limousine. All stretch limos have been “converted” so at one point, they were a regular car like a sedan or an SUV, just like you own. Then a factory was contracted for a conversion to “stretch” the car. Most of these factories are small and are located in California or Florida due to the weather requirements. However, there are some huge factories like Tiffany and Krystal that specialize in the executive stretch limos. However, the crazy and glamorous limos you see parked near night clubs are all product of the little factories that innovate with every new limo they stretch.
