Nobody in the transportation industry has stories to tell quite like a professional limo driver. From weddings, proms and nights out, you never know what’s in store for you before the charter begins. It’s a random crapshoot at times but one thing is for certain, something interesting will most likely occur.

THE ALCOHOL

A limo driver’s biggest enemy! The simple pour of a few bottles of alcohol can turn a normal charter into chaos. In several areas across the U.S., alcohol is permitted inside the passenger compartment of a limousine. It’s amazing to see how quickly limo rentals can turn into a daycare center for adults. Over intoxication is a common problem when it comes to nights on the town. People simply can’t hold their alcohol these days. Now add a little car motion to the mix and now you are facing the perfect environment for vomiting a sickness. And if that wasn’t enough, try dealing with 20 bachelorettes having to urinate off the side of the highway every 20 minutes because they drank too much. It doesn’t end there. Prom kids will stop at nothing to sneak in a bottle of alcohol into a limo. A seasoned driver knows all the tricks such as extras back packs, bottles of sprite, rolling up the divider and unscheduled stops at a friend’s house. There are stories to be told…

Seriously ladies, nobody truly digs your chocolate edible penises and giant blow up wieners but than again it’s your night to shine. Limo drivers get the brunt of bachelorette parties and the mischief that follows. You may be thinking, “What harm can a few girls cause?” Well as the night goes on there are countless opportunities for things to go astray. From random guys trying to make their way into the limo, to of course over intoxication, from girls trying to kiss the limo driver to catty girls finding trouble with one another, there are stories to be told…

Although most weddings are smooth and enjoyable, there are always a few limo rentals that don’t go quite as planned. Don’t get caught in the cross hairs of a bride with fury in her eyes. It’s almost surreal to witness what a Bridezilla will come up with. If you become her target, you will be the proud recipient of irrational accusations and expectations. Being simply human and making an honest mistake is not in her vocab. When encountering such a creature, we recommend you run for the hills!!!

THE CELEBRITY

Whenever you think of the limousine business, you can’t help but to associate it with the rich and famous. Most young start-up limo companies will try to target Celebrities in hopes that it will bring in big cash and stardom. Most experienced limo operators will tell you otherwise. Dealing with pampered celebs is not always what you may think. In most cases you rarely deal direct with the famous. You typically get stuck dealing with their management. Their sole job is to work you over for the best price. Big tips are rare to come by but the demands of the famous are quite enormous. If you’re thinking that a simple autograph will suffice, good luck with even getting that at times. While chauffeuring them around, in most cases the limo driver is the last on their list of concerns.
